• made of expanded polypropylene (PPE), it is suitable for protecting food from thermal stress thanks to the insulating properties of the expanded polymer, which has a resistivity coefficient (Lambda) of 0.039 W/mk which guarantees a thermal drop compliant with the UNI EN 12571:1999 standard;
• ideal for transporting food products and when there is a need to maintain a constant temperature, different from room temperature;
• protects food from mechanical stress thanks to the thickness and structure of the closed-cell expanded polypropylene;
• lightweight and free from protrusions and sharp edges to protect the safety of operators during handling and transport operations;
• Technical characteristics . Polypropylene is expanded with CO2, CFC- and HCFC-free, and contains no residual expansion agents. It has a closed-cell structure that gives it excellent shock energy dissipation and specific thermal resistance. Expanded polypropylene has an excellent ecological balance and does not cause harm to the environment either through production or as a raw material, because:
  • It is composed mainly of air (depending on the density it can reach 98% air) and only 2% of pure hydrocarbon structural material.
